India has reimposed Quality Control Order (QCO) compliance on polyester yarn imports after the Gujarat High Court stayed the withdrawal of QCOs for FDY, POY and DTY.
The move is expected to support domestic producers through tighter import checks, while increasing compliance costs and creating supply concerns for downstream textile industries dependent on imported yarn.
