India's Development Council for Textile Industry held its first meeting in New Delhi, focusing on a roadmap for a competitive, integrated textile value chain.
The government-industry platform reviewed production, R&D, exports, raw materials, investment, skilling and sustainability.
It will form working groups on priority themes and meet regularly to review progress.
