The US and China have operationalised bilateral trade and investment boards to address tariff treatment, market-access barriers and investment-related issues. They agreed on recommendations covering $30 billion of non-sensitive goods in each direction and are continuing discussions on critical-mineral supply chains, including rare earths, developments relevant to global importers and sourcing teams.
