Alexium’s Asian partner itextiles receives first delivery

Pakistan-based iTextiles Ltd, a leading textiles trading company has received its first consignment of Alexium International chemistry products.

iTextiles is the Asian & European distribution partner of Alexium.

Alexium markets products, which allows for surface modification and attachment of nano-particles or multiple chemical functional groups to surfaces or substrates to provide functions such as fire retardancy, water proofing, oil proofing, and anti-microbial treatments.

Itextiles will being production runs using Alexium applications on fabrics of partners participating in the program, from this week.

“iTextiles was one of the first Asian companies to see the potential and value in Alexium’s products. For them to receive Alexium chemistry, so they can apply it to their partners’ fabrics is an exciting next step,” said Dr. Dirk Van Hyning, Head of Product Development at Alexium.

iTextiles Ltd., based out of Karachi, is a leading textile trading company in Pakistan, representing companies like INVISTA (USA), Dow Chemical (USA), Kaneka Corp. (Japan), Ashburn Hill Corp. (USA), Rong Sheng (China), Thailon Tech (Thailand) and others.

As a major player in Pakistan’s textile industry, which has annual gross revenues in excess of $13 billion, iTextiles has emerged as an ideal partner to introduce Alexium chemistry to many manufacturing partners and millions of yards of fabric across the globe, Alexium said.

Alexium holds proprietary patent applications for a process developed initially by the U.S. Department of Defense.
