APTMA Delegation Pays Visit To Shahbaz Sharif

A delegation of All Pakistan Textile Mills Association (APTMA) called on chief minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif on Thursday. The delegation briefed the chief minister about the problems faced by the industry which includes issue of disparity of gas and electricity prices between Punjab and other provinces. While talking to Business Recorder Chairman APTMA Punjab Syed Ali Ahsan said that chief minister assured the delegation of his support.

He also said that they will submit points for the solution of the problems faced by the textile industry to Shahbaz Sharif on Friday. Ali Ahsan said that Shahbaz Sharif assured the delegation that he will talk to Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif about the issues faced by the industry. He also said that delegation told chief minister Punjab that disparity in gas prices had destroyed the entire textile industry in Punjab. It is difficult for them to run the industry in these circumstances. More than 100 mills have closed in Punjab till date. Jobs of more than 15 million workers are linked with the textile industry.
