KARACHI: The board of directors of Procurement and Infrastructure Subcommittee meeting of Pakistan Textile City Limited was held on Friday, a statement said.
Pakistan Textile City Limited Chairman Dr Mirza Ikhtiar Baig chaired the meeting , which was also attended by directors Wajahat A Baqai, EVP of National Bank of Pakistan, Shabbir Anwar Kazi, director general of the Port Qasim Authority, Muhammad Salahuddin, deputy secretary of the Ministry of Textiles and CEO of Pakistan Textile City Muhammad Hanif Kasbati., it said.
The board committee discussed the development work at the textile city and the status of water supply and progress of 600MW coal-fired power plant, a joint venture with the K-Electric.
The board advised the management to expedite signing of the memorandum of understanding after getting approval from the Ministry of Textile Industry, it added.
