Oeko-Tex to again take part in Heimtextil 2016

The Oeko-Tex Association will once again take part in Heimtextil 2016 in hall 8, stand D96, where Oeko-Tex experts will provide expert consulting regarding the certification options for the more than 65,000 expected specialist visitors.

“Held over four days in January, the Heimtextil fair is the most significant and major platform for manufacturers, retailers and designers,” a press release from Oeko-Tex said.

Some of the main focuses at the show include sustainably produced furnishings like bathroom, bedroom and table textiles and textile products for window decoration, upholstery, floor coverings, wall coverings and sunshades.

There will also be talks on why the subject of sustainability in furnishings is becoming more and more important worldwide and what its successful implementation might look like on January 14 at 11.00 AM.

According to Oeko-Tex, these talks will be provided by top-class representatives from the North American, Asian and European furnishings sector in the Symmetrie 3 Conference Room, in hall 8, level 1.

These include, Warren Shoulberg, editorial director, Home & Textiles Today who will address on ‘Sustainability is Not the Wave of the Future: It’s Here’.

Xiangzhong Li, marketing manager at Loftex China Ltd will speak on ‘Build Green Textiles. Promote Sustainable Development’.

Artur Soutinho, president of the board at More Textile Group will address the topic of ‘Sustainability as a Competitive Global Value in Today’s Market’.

On 13 January 2016, Jörg Diekmann from the Hohenstein Textile Testing Institute will give a talk on the subject Mystep by Oeko-Tex on ‘Transparency in the Supply Chain Labelled with Made in Green
