Italian producer of advanced weaving machinery, Itema participated at the recently organised Techtextil India, which was held from September 24-26, 2015 in Mumbai, India.
According to a press release from the company, Itema presented two brand-new applications available on R9500; fibreglass and airbag OPW at Techtextil.
The R9500 fibreglass features an extremely sensitive whip roller created to further compensate the warp tension, as well as dedicated weft cutters and rapiers.
“In addition to fiberglass, the newly designed rotary spread bar also allows the weaving of mesh fabrics,” the company said.
The second application available on the R9500, the Airbag OPW has been optimised to weave OPW heavy and sophisticated fabric, whilst quality and flexibility are ensured by the FPA rapiers.
“Itema is the only weaving manufacturer to provide projectile weft insertion technology, through the redesigned P7300HP V8,” ITEMA added.
The P7300HP V8 features a unique weft insertion system and the widest width in the market of up to 655 cms.
As per Itema, the P7300HP V8 is ideal to weave the widest range of technical fabrics, especially the heaviest yarns, always with outstanding quality, longest lifespan and unparalleled value.
The Itema airjet portfolio also consists of three distinct, right-for-application A9500 airjet models from entry-level A9500e, up to and including the premium, top-of-the-line A9500p model.
“They come with top features such as the patended Ireed, the single relay nozzle, and ensures best-in-class performances when it comes to speed, efficiency and fabric quality,” it informed.
“What sets Itema airjet looms ahead of competition are features including the cam sley drive and optimized shed geometry which guarantee top flexibility to weave a wider range of fabrics,” Itema noted.
Itema airjet machines are already weaving successfully meditech fabrics for technical textile companies in India.

The company derives a significant and growing portion of its revenues from the sale of specialised weaving machinery for the technical fabrics segment.
